This summer, Kerry and Twyla Jackson served as missionaries at Camp Pinnacle in Georgia and Camp La Vida in South Carolina. They had several opportunities to engage members of Girls in Action with their ministry. Kerry was able to share the gospel both verbally and visually through art with the girls. They witnessed 14 professions of faith, including two who asked to be baptized, and five girls answered a call to missions or Christian service. The Jacksons have loved every minute of watching God move in these young people’s lives.
Back in Atlanta, Georgia, Kerry and Twyla have been meeting weekly with their creative group. They have “creatives” from a variety of artistic disciplines (visual arts, illustration, animation, graphic design, writing, film, photography, and even professional clowning). In the group, they discuss how faith and art intertwine, and they support, encourage, and pray for one another.
Twyla was recently named director of their English-as-a-second-language program, and her Sunday international Bible study continues to grow.
God has blessed the Jacksons with new opportunities to share their art ministry in churches, Christian schools, at Vacation Bible Schools, and even a CD release party for a local country gospel recording artist.
Continue to pray for Kerry and Twyla as they see God at work in Atlanta.
