Spotlight Update: Eber and Melisa Argueta in Saint Cloud, Minnesota

Eber and Melisa Argueta, a young Honduran couple, serve Christ as North American Mission Board missionaries in the region of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where he is pastor and she is director of children’s ministry for the Spanish-speaking services of Harvest Fellowship Church, called Harvest en Español.

Their son, Josué Elías, is now three years old, and they have welcomed the birth of a daughter, Zoe, and held a service in November 2023 dedicating her to the Lord.

The couple partners with leaders and ministry staff in the church’s English congregation to offer joint activities where the two groups share in fellowship and learning opportunities. On November 18, 2023, women from both congregations enjoyed the church’s annual Harvest of Christmas Joy, a time to gather and remember that they are defined by God’s grace, not by their faults or weaknesses.

The growing congregation, composed of people from eight nations, celebrated its multicultural composition by hosting International Day with the theme We Are One in Christ. It was a special day with people from many nations, cultures, and languages who are part of one body and worship the one true God, coming together to experience food, clothing, and decorations from many cultures.

This past summer, the church hosted outreach events where members prayed and fellowshipped in a local park. They witnessed the obedience of new brothers in Christ who participated in believer’s baptism as part of the July event. And in the winter, church members collected 14 gift-filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
