Don and Maria Friesen celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Baptist church on the M. reservation in 2024. They shared, “It’s been a year of many transitions for us and the M. people. Together, we have been in an ‘exit to partnership’ phase in the ministry. In this phase, we have given the responsibilities of the church over to the [local] believers. They are now preaching, teaching, discipling, and traveling upriver to take the gospel to another M. people reservation.”
Continue praying for the Friesens, the M. people, and the following requests:
Local believers took three trips upriver to another village. Pray the Holy Spirit would change the hearts of the M. people there who heard the gospel, Bible stories, and songs shared by the believers. Pray seeds planted would bring a harvest.
Two believing M. men are preaching God’s Word on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Other believing M. people are working in various areas of the church, teaching Sunday School, playing music, and recording finances. Pray for unity among the believers as they follow the Lord in their roles within the church.
Today God’s church and His people are strong. The Lord has been so faithful! Thank you for your prayers and support of Don, Maria, and the Indigenous M. people.
