Missions Journey: Students — Theme Park Chaplain highlights the story and ministry of Joey Buck, a theme park chaplain serving in the heart of Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains.

Joey Buck shares how God has guided every step of his journey and calling. From his childhood faith through church involvement, youth ministry, college discipleship, missionary service, and seminary, Joey’s life illustrates how God faithfully prepares His people for unique kingdom work — even through seasons of uncertainty and growth.

As a resort and leisure missionary, Joey Buck now serves employees and guests by providing Christ-centered care, spiritual encouragement, and compassionate presence in the midst of a busy theme park environment.

Through Colossians 3:17, Joey challenges students to see recreation and daily life as opportunities for ministry, where honoring God in all things opens doors for meaningful relationships and gospel conversations.
