Missions Journey: Students — Central Asian People: Project 3000
Product Number: MJ0226EDescription
The IMB’s Project 3000 initiative is dedicated to identifying and engaging the remaining unengaged and unreached people groups (UUPGs) with the gospel. Through this initiative, missionaries known as explorers research specific regions and build relationships in areas where the gospel has little to no presence.
In this resource, students meet Nina Griffin, who leads a team of Project 3000 explorers in Central Asia. Her team travels extensively, researching UUPGs and connecting with people who have migrated from across the region. Through persistence and intentional relationship-building, they work to share the gospel of Christ among diverse cultures.
Students will learn how to pray for Project 3000 explorers and the people groups they serve, gain insight into the realities of missionary research and engagement, and be encouraged by Nina’s testimony of faith rooted in Psalm 37:3. This resource also challenges the idea that missions is only for a select few, inspiring students to use their own interests and passions to build relationships and share Christ wherever they are.
Involve your teenagers in ongoing missions discipleship and empower them to discover their own roles as disciples of Jesus who live on mission. Through each unit of Missions Journey: Students, teens will meet missions personnel serving all around the world, be encouraged to grow in discipleship, and become active agents of gospel change in their own communities.
This fully-digital resource contains plans for four weekly sessions, including links to the missions videos, missions project ideas, supplemental activities, prayer activities, and a leader devotion.
This material is designed for students in grades 7–12. WMU recommends adult leaders preview all lesson and video content before sharing it with their students.
Available as a digital download only.
