How to Use the Children in Action Digital Package

Did you even know this was a thing? Now you do, and we have ideas on how to use it!
To a seven-year-old, joining a club is a big deal. Being on the team, part of the pack, or having a club identity is super cool.
So why not make your Children in Action group more club- or team-like by branding the experience with the CA logo and super cool themed graphics this year?
How do you do that, you ask?
Well, the CA Digital Package 2025–26 is how!
I bet you didn’t even know the CA Digital Package is chock-full of great graphics you can use in a variety of places this year. To download, visit wmu.com and search for CA Digital Package. You’ll be glad you did!
While the idea of designing things like T-shirts may scare some leaders, there are free graphic design apps out there that will help you create almost anything you’d like to create. If you aren’t sure where to turn, ask the students and young adults in your church for advice and possibly even help. Who knows? You may be talking to your group’s next volunteer leader!
Check out these ideas to get the most out of the CA Digital Package this year:
- Shirts: Create a themed T-shirt for your kids and wear it proudly to every missions project your group works on this year. Or create a CA shirt using just the logo. This shirt can be worn year after year, but will need to be replaced as kids grow! You’ll find the regular CA logo and the CA logo with this year’s theme elements incorporated in the digital package.
- Branded swag: Use pieces from the digital package to create branded swag. From drawstring bags and cups and posters to signs and hats, you can take the graphics in this package to your local swag shop and have them added to almost anything! (Hint: There is probably someone in your church who is crafty and can cut vinyl or create stickers even. Ask around and see what skills the adults in your church have. You may be surprised!)
- Social media: Did you know the digital package has ready-made social media graphics? Drop them in your church’s social media accounts to announce all kinds of things — meeting times, special events, projects, needed items, etc. The list goes on!
- PowerPoint slides: Use the PowerPoint slides for your Sunday morning congregational announcements. Add energy and excitement to your announcements and let everyone know about the neat things happening in your CA group each week.
- Note cards and stationery: Who doesn’t love to get a note in the mail? Create note cards or postcards to send to kids who have achieved something great, those who have missed a week or two, or use them to invite new families to your program. Either way, a note goes a long way!
- Decorations: Print out the graphics and use them to decorate your meeting space or bulletin boards to announce events and activities. Better yet, use the graphics to create eye-catching centerpieces for your tables during a recognition service at the end of the year. Talk to church staff about printing or take the files to your local office supply store to have them printed. (Pro tip: Laminate items to make them last all year.)
Incorporating any of these ideas takes a bit of time and creativity. But, in the long run, the effort you spend to make your group a T-shirt or decorate a bulletin board in the hallway will only generate excitement for kids and their families. Excited kids mean they will want to come to your CA group. And when they come to your CA group, they are going to learn about missions, pray for missions, support missions, do missions, and tell about Jesus.
And that, my friends, is worth all the effort!
