Christmas in August Missionary List

Instructions for Packaging and Shipping

Packing Items for Shipping

Gather. Storage can be a problem for some missionaries, so please send only those items specified on their list. Send new items only. You don’t have to include everything on the list because other churches are collecting items, too.

Pack. Gather the items your group collects and pack them for shipping. Consider placing items that could leak inside plastic sealable bags. Please don’t wrap the items, as this creates more work for the missionaries. Note any particular packaging needs any mentioned by a missionary.

Organize. To help missionaries sort through packages more quickly, label the outside of the package with the names of the items inside.

Write. Be sure to write a note of encouragement or prayer for the missionary. Give the missionary your email address, in case he or she has time to respond. Please explain to others involved in your project that the missionaries may receive hundreds of packages, so they often do not have time to respond to each group individually. Assure others that the missionaries are very grateful for their gifts.

Postage and Shipping

Missionary instructions for shipping. Note any particular packaging or shipping needs mentioned by a missionary.

Postage. Find out the exact postage needed pay for your box or boxes. If you send your package by regular US mail, be sure to have the package weighed at the post office and have the proper postage affixed. (You don’t want the missionary to have to pay postage-due charges on your gift!)

Mailing to Canada. Please send via US Parcel Post. Do not send via UPS, FedEx, or other courier service as they will charge customs fees to send to Canada. Complete a Customs Declaration Form at the post office when you ship your box. On the form is a box that needs to be checked: Gift. By doing this, the missionary is not required to pay any fees upon the boxes’ arrival. Visit usps.com for more information.

Shipping via UPS. If you send the package by United Parcel Service (UPS), use the physical street address. UPS will not deliver to a post office box.

Chaplain, Truckstop Ministries
truckstopministries.org

My wife, Bobbie, and I serve with Truckstop Ministries Inc. (TMI) and have been full-time since 2024. I am endorsed through NAMB with Truckstop Ministries, where I serve as chaplain and director of ministry development.

TMI started in 1981 and ministers at truck stops across 59 locations in 29 states. This Bible-based ministry seeks to reach truck drivers and the trucking industry with the gospel of Jesus Christ, regardless of their spiritual, religious, or denominational background. TMI accomplishes this by meeting people at their point of need spiritually, mentally, and emotionally and by encouraging them through basic discipleship, fellowship, and spiritual guidance based on God’s Word.

We minister in truck stops, either with a semitrailer that has been converted into a mobile chapel or in the TV or movie room inside the truck stop. The truck stop is where drivers gather to fuel and refresh themselves, eat, and take their mandatory breaks. It is also often where they are when they are going through issues and need someone to talk to. Some of the issues drivers deal with are loneliness, temptation, feeling helpless when family back home is hurting, traffic, schedules, and keeping those wheels rolling.

Bobbie and I serve at the Pilot Travel Center in Robinson, Texas, by Waco. We use our transformed 1999 Winnebago as a mobile chapel. In its former life, it was a SWAT command center for the City of Mesquite, Texas. Now it’s born again as the Soul Patrol. While at the truck stop, we also set a table up inside and put out Bibles, tracts, and literature for truckers and travelers.

We also travel by car to truck shows around the country, where we set up a booth to talk with attendees and minister to them. We recently handed out about 1,000 tracts and had two salvations at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky. We travel to other truck stops seeking to open new ministries. Last Christmas, Bobbie and I traveled to 9 truck stops delivering more than 100 bags of homemade cookies and baked goods, Bibles, testimonial books, care packages, and prayer, taking a little bit of home to those who were unable to be home for Christmas.

Everlove Church

Everlove Church was born in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. When many churches were closing their doors, we began worshiping in a parking lot. With no building, limited resources, and many uncertainties, we chose to gather anyway — believing worship must continue and hope must not be delayed. Those early days were simple. Families sat in their cars. Sermons were heard through speakers. Yet in that place, God was building something deeper than a structure, He was forming a community.

Today we continue that same mission. Each week, we meet people who are starting over. Some are new to the area, adjusting to a new culture. Others come carrying unseen burdens — loneliness, financial pressure, or the quiet question of where they belong. Many walk through our doors not just looking for a church but for hope.

We have seen how small acts of love can open hearts. A simple gift becomes a conversation. A child who comes for snacks begins to hear the gospel. A family that once felt alone finds a spiritual home.

As a church plant, we do not always have abundant resources, but we have a deep desire to love people well and to faithfully share the good news of Jesus Christ. The items we are requesting are not just supplies. They are tools for ministry. A hygiene kit can become a bridge. A backpack can open a child’s heart. A Bible placed in someone’s hands can change a life forever. Even a small gift card can create a moment of care, dignity, and connection.

Through your generosity, you are not simply sending items — you are helping us welcome people, care for families, and share the love of Christ in tangible and lasting ways. We are deeply grateful for your prayers, your partnership, and your willingness to be part of what God is doing through Everlove Church.

Connections Church

By God’s grace, we planted Connections Church during the pandemic with a focus to become a church that reflects its community. Our city has more than 120 different home languages, which makes it one of the most diverse cities in the country. Because of this reality, we are heavily involved with Diaspora Ministry throughout the year, serving more than 2,000 people (refugees, immigrants, and international students).

We have two major ongoing events throughout the year: school supply drive and sports camp. Our goal is to use these events to connect with families so that we can share the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all nations. We would be grateful if you could support us with any of the items listed below. Most importantly, please join us in prayer as we strive to share Jesus!

Send Relief Hamilton

Send Relief Hamilton is a Christ-centered community ministry serving vulnerable populations in Hamilton, Ontario. Our mission is to meet practical needs, build meaningful relationships, and share the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ through compassionate, community‑based initiatives based on our vision found in Isaiah 61:1–4.

Our ministry operates through three core initiatives:

1. Building Bridges Initiative — Serving Newcomers and Refugees

The Building Bridges Initiative focuses on welcoming newcomers into the community through ESL classes that include shared meals, Kids Club programming, and settlement support. While parents participate in English language learning, their children are cared for through our Kids Club, providing a safe, loving environment rooted in biblical teaching.

This initiative prioritizes relationship-building, cultural connection, and language learning while fostering trust and belonging. As relationships develop, participants are invited into deeper conversations, prayer, Scripture engagement, and opportunities to explore the gospel in the context of local churches.

2. Friendship Initiative — Supporting Those Experiencing Homelessness and Addiction

Through the Friendship Initiative, we walk alongside individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction through programs such as Stop & Care and Recovery Church Ministry. These programs are rooted in consistent presence, compassion, and dignity, offering practical care while building trusting relationships. Within these relational spaces, individuals are invited to experience Christian community, hear the gospel, and pursue healing and restoration through faith-based recovery and ongoing discipleship.

3. Engage the City Initiative — Mobilizing the Church

The Engage the City Initiative equips and mobilizes churches and individuals to meet tangible needs within their own communities. Through training, partnerships, and hands-on opportunities, we empower believers to live on mission, serve their neighbors, and share the gospel through word and deed. This initiative extends the impact of our ministry by helping local churches and volunteers actively participate in compassionate outreach and gospel engagement across the city.

Jenny Schindler • Waxahachie, TX
Chaplain

I serve as the manager of pastoral care at Baylor Scott & White in Waxahachie, Texas. I lead a team of six chaplains who provide spiritual and emotional support throughout the hospital. One of the most tender and meaningful parts of our ministry is caring for families who experience the loss of a baby through fetal demise. These moments are marked by profound grief, as parents mourn not only the death of their child but also the hopes and dreams they held for their baby.

Through our pastoral care ministry, we strive to offer a compassionate presence, grief and bereavement resources, and tangible items that help families honor, remember, and say goodbye to their baby. Donated supplies — such as memory-making items, keepsakes, comfort items, and written resources — allow us to support families during this incredibly painful time. These gifts make a meaningful difference, providing comfort, validation, and a lasting acknowledgment of their baby’s life. We are deeply grateful for any support that helps us continue this sacred ministry to families and to the staff who care for them.

Thank you for the opportunity to ask for items for the work of the ministry at Breakthrough Church of San Diego. I am so humbled that we would be considered for such a blessing. Below are some things that would help us out tremendously. Some are costly, but they would go a long way in reaching our city.

Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (CINECAMPOCHDEF06P) — We have had numerous requests to start live-streaming. The camera we have will not give a live-stream output in 4k, so the quality is poor, but this camera would provide that output. Having this would greatly increase our ability to reach those who are shut-in or distant, and we could also have sermons live for our childcare workers. This camera is costly at $2,795 on Amazon, but it would be such a blessing to what we are trying to do in getting the gospel out there.

• Bouncy House — This would be a blessing to our kids’ program. We are a church plant and don’t have a playground. It would be great to get something that we can set up and put away as needed.

• iPad: $300–$500 — Or any refurbished or used iPad can work as long as it is USB-C and not Lightning Cable charging. This would be used for our child check-in process.

• iPad stand or case with prop-up features: $33.99 (for worship team)

• IK Multimedia iRig USB Guitar Audio Interface: $69.99 (for worship team)

• USB Hub: $26.98 (for worship team)

• USB-C Extension Cable: $13.98 (for worship team)

• Sunday Keys Account Full Access: $150 (for worship team)

4 Rugs [Royal / Froggy / Fire Engine / Tangerine], $156 each — We’re asking for color-coded kids rugs to help things run smoothly and safely when kids come into the room. Each child would get a color that matches their group and teacher, so they know exactly where to go right away. This would really help cut down on confusion, make transitions easier, and help our team stay focused on the kids instead of trying to direct traffic. It also adds another layer of safety by making sure every child is connected to the right group. Overall, it just helps us create a more organized, safe, and intentional environment for our kids and leaders.

• 2 radios for security — We were given some of these from another church and need more.

Fields of Alaska Ministries

We minister in a rural part of Alaska’s road system called the Copper River Valley, an area around Glennallen, Alaska. We are about three and a half hours away from the nearest Walmart, and the few stores around here are very expensive. We were called here in summer 2025 as NAMB/Send Network church planters, and we were sent by our sending church in Gainesville, Georgia. We had previously lived in rural Alaska.

Since we arrived, we have prayed and God has opened doors. Today we serve about 30–32 school-age children and youth each Wednesday in Kenny Lake, and our Sunday worship service hosts between 30 and 45. We serve a hot meal to our youth every week. The local school does not have a regular cafeteria, so they come hungry. Many in this area of Alaska are very poor, but they are proud and hardworking.

We host an open gym night each Friday at the local school and a morning tot-time at our Copper Center Ministry Center. We hope to have regular youth engagements this summer because there usually isn’t much engagement for the young people here. All giving will go directly toward supporting this ministry’s effort to meet community needs and engage the community with the gospel of Jesus.

Items Needed

• School supplies — Around 20 children/youth in our youth ministry are low income, and buying school supplies can be a challenge in this rural part of Alaska. We would also look for additional children in need in the area who are not part of the youth ministry. We estimate no more than 40 are in need of supplies.)

• Printer paper for flyers, bulletins, and educational materials.

• Ink for Epson ET-2800 printer

• Gift cards to Walmart or Costco to purchase food for the youth ministry.

• Youth activity games (i.e., cornhole, outdoor tic-tac-toe) — We are looking for more ways to engage the youth when weather opens up.

• T-Shirts — We’d love to hand out shirts to the youth group to wear. They would make great conversation starters in the community. We encourage them to be multipliers. The shirts simply need to say “Youth @ KLCC”. KLCC stands for Kenny Lake Community Chapel, the church where we serve. Sizes from Youth Small through Adult XL.

• ESV Bibles for youth group and adults

• Expo dry-erase markers and erasers

• Pens, highlighters, and Sharpies

• Tot-time toys (for ages 5 and under)
