This Month’s Spotlight Update: Carlos and Lily Llambés in the Caribbean

After nearly 20 years of service on the missions field, Carlos and Lily Llambés are retiring from active service with the International Mission Board (IMB). Their final day with IMB is August 2. In celebration of their service, they, along with more than 60 other honorees, were named IMB emeriti at a recent ceremony organized by IMB.
In this new phase, they will continue to minister to others in new areas, planting a Hispanic church in Newport News, Virginia, in partnership with Nansemond River Baptist Church. In addition to these upcoming life changes, Carlos and Lily also celebrated Lily’s graduation from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) with a master of arts in biblical counseling.
Carlos and Lily want to express their “deepest and heartfelt gratitude” to WMU, IMB, SBTS, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Boyce College, and Southern Baptist churches for all their support over the years. They said, “Our lives, the lives of our children, and the ministry entrusted to us had an impact because of God’s grace and all their support over the years.” Continue praying for Carlos and Lily, along with their children and grandchildren.
