Spotlight Update: Adam and Millie Johnson in Southeast Asia

Over the last year, through digital engagement strategies, 200 people have expressed a desire to meet Christians in person and learn more about following Jesus. These seekers came out of the 11,000 spiritual conversations digital responders had with those who engaged with the paid gospel advertisements International Mission Board missionaries Adam and Millie Johnson and their team published on social media.
Recently, a digital responder began chatting with Aaron, an individual who was feeling hopeless and not sure whether he could go on. After seeing a gospel advertisement on his social media feed, he reached out for help. Aaron is from a predominately Muslim-background nation in Central Asia. After their initial conversation, they have continued to chat, and Aaron has been reading from the New Testament. While he has not yet made a commitment to follow Jesus, a relationship with the digital responder has been established, and Aaron has changed from where he was even a week before seeing the ad and interacting with the responder. Pray Aaron would continue reading God’s Word and would open his heart to a saving relationship with our loving God.
Additionally, the Johnsons’ team has completed and released a project called The Bible Plugin, which allows churches and missions teams in multiple countries to put God’s Word in their languages on their ministry websites at no additional cost. This plug-in helps churches and missions teams provide Scripture in a very localized way. Continue to pray for this work as the Johnsons make some design changes and add more functionality to this tool.
