Osvaldo Lerma, director of the Send Relief Center in Laredo, Texas, and his wife, Vanessa, have devoted their lives to missions — a passion instilled in them by both of their parents who modeled a lifestyle of service beyond church programs.
Though raised in church, Osvaldo came to a true relationship with Jesus at age 16 during a life-changing camp in Mexico. Since then, he has served faithfully, eventually became a pastor, and leads efforts to meet both physical and spiritual needs along the US/Mexico border. His ministry focuses on strengthening communities, caring for refugees, and protecting vulnerable families through practical outreach and gospel-centered care.
Osvaldo shares how shares how Psalm 46:10 has deeply impacted his personal and ministry journey. Relying on God, especially through challenges, has deepened his faith and brought lasting transformation to those he serves. He encourages others, especially young people, to seek God’s will, stay grounded in Scripture, and view missions not as a one-time event but a lifelong calling.
