Free Resources for You and Your Church

As committed Christ followers, we can use our influence to make a positive impact on the Kingdom during this crisis. Christ will do the miraculous in our midst if we allow Him to use us for His glory. Here are some great resources for you at home or your church to distribute to its members.

Resources for Families on Mission

Summer is a wonderful season for families to enjoy missions discipleship. As many families will be together at home this year, we invite you to download our free resources and videos to learn about and pray for missionaries around the world and discover how your family can share Christ’s love.

In July, travel with us to Japan to meet Ryan and Kelley Day who will encourage you with their message of God’s help and hope.

Video: Japan - Gather your family to meet Ryan and Kelley Day in this month’s video. They serve as missionaries in Japan. As you watch, your family will learn to count to 5 in Japanese. Hear how they used a ukulele group to share with others about Jesus and learn how your family can pray for children in Japan.

Activity - Play this matching game with your preschooler while you share how the Santiago family tells people in Puerto Rico about Jesus.

Calendar - Choose activities for your family to do throughout July. The calendar has fun ideas for your family to learn about missions in Japan and pray for the Day family as they serve.

Video: Japan - Your family is invited to join us for a special, in-depth interview with missionaries Ryan and Kelley Day from Japan. Learn how God brought them to serve the people of Japan, be encouraged as they share how God has helped them work through difficult situations, and hear about ways your children can share God’s love in your own community.

Activity - Your family can share the good news of Jesus Christ during this difficult time by taking part in missions discipleship. Check out the following missions projects and see which one is right for you and your family.

GA Calendar - This calendar provides daily missional moments for your GA. Some are simple, some are challenging, but they all point your GA toward a missions lifestyle.

RA Calendar  - This calendar provides daily missional moments for your RA. Some are simple, some are challenging, but they all point your RA toward a missions lifestyle.

Video: Japan - This month, we invite you to join us for an inside look at the life and ministries of Ryan and Kelley Day. Ryan and Kelley serve as missionaries in Japan with the International Mission Board. Watch as they share about their own experiences in ministry and learn how you can be on mission in your own community!

Activity - Don’t let the summer pass you by! Get your family engaged in a meaningful way through summer missions projects. Take a look at these three project ideas, plan your project, and start serving today!

Missions Moments for Families

Missions Moments is designed to encourage parents to teach children the foundation of the Christian faith and missions at home. We will be releasing one activity a week.

  • Active Compassion - Each day we are given opportunities to show compassion to others. Here is a great way for your children to learn about compassion.
  • Following Jesus - This is a great activity for your children to learn how God wants to be our friend and desires for us to know Him.
  • Knowing God - Create a one-week journal with your children as they get to know God through the Bible and prayer.
  • Loving God - How do you love God? The Bible tells us exactly how we are to love God in the Bible. This at-home activity is a great way to learn about loving God as a family.
  • My Purpose - Each person is uniquely made by God, and He created us with a plan and purpose for our lives. Use this activity to show your children how they were created to honor and serve God in his or her own special way.
  • My Part -  Use this paper-link chain activity at home with your children to show that when we all do our part, we are stronger as a group and can tell more people about Jesus.
  • My TimeUse a simple calendar activity to encourage children to spend some time during the week to learn about God, to pray, and to do mission action projects.

The WMU Executive Board voted on March 25 to postpone Blume, a missions event for girls scheduled July 8-11, 2020 at Germantown Baptist Church in Tennessee until the summer of 2021.

“As someone who has participated in this event as a youth and young adult and then took my daughter, I am saddened,” said Sandy Wisdom-Martin, executive director of national WMU. “However, based on the uncertainties of the ongoing global pandemic crisis, this is a necessity. The health, safety, and welfare of those entrusted to our care is of the highest priority. We commit to pouring our efforts and energies into making Blume in 2021 a significant missional gathering where God can speak to the hearts of all who gather.”

Updates on Blume in 2021 will be posted as available on
