PROMOTE THE ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is much more than just an offering envelope and an annual missions-giving emphasis. The money given supports North American missionaries and provides resources that will help others hear the message of Christ and respond in faith to His offer of salvation.

Consider the following ideas to help your group promote the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering this year:

  • Adopt a city. Choose from a list of church planting focus areas at namb.net/cities. Have children browse that city’s page for an overview of the city and its needs, updates on local initiatives, and maps of current and potential church plants where your church can get involved. Share your findings, and challenge children to learn all they can about your adopted city. Begin a time of focused prayer for that city and the missionaries serving there. Encourage giving through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering as a way to directly impact your adopted city.
  • Sponsor a missions fair. Highlight your church’s local and national missions efforts. Set up displays to introduce your church to potential ministry partners in North America. Emphasize the need for praying, giving, and going.
  • Create a missions prayer path. Choose several North American cities. Set up creative displays with pictures of the cities and the missionaries who serve there. List specific needs and prayer concerns. Designate a time for people to visit the displays and pray, or offer an invitation for people to walk through and pray as they have opportunity.
