Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer

Every year on or near the first Monday in November, Baptist women in about 130 countries gather to pray for one another. They use a program published by the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Women’s Department, which is composed of 7 continental unions representing 229 national Baptist women’s organizations.

The Day of Prayer is for all Baptist women, not just those who are part of your women’s organization. What would appeal to most women in your church—breakfast, Saturday retreat, evening meeting? Let that determine your date, place, and time.

Missions Leader Team Blog

Two years ago while on a missions trip to South Africa, I had the opportunity to participate in food distribution in the local community. The missionaries with whom I was working informed my team that the food had been purchased with Global Hunger Relief funds. It was a thrill for me to have a firsthand opportunity to hand out the bags of food and share with those receiving them.
