Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer

Every year on or near the first Monday in November, Baptist women in about 130 countries gather to pray for one another. They use a program published by the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Women’s Department, which is composed of 7 continental unions representing 229 national Baptist women’s organizations.

The Day of Prayer is for all Baptist women, not just those who are part of your women’s organization. What would appeal to most women in your church—breakfast, Saturday retreat, evening meeting? Let that determine your date, place, and time.

Do you live with chronic overload? Do stacks of to-do lists beg for attention? If so, I feel your pain. Add all I want to do with what I need to do, and life can become overwhelming. Occasionally I consolidate my lists, as a single page appears less ominous than several stacks.
