Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer

Every year on or near the first Monday in November, Baptist women in about 130 countries gather to pray for one another. They use a program published by the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Women’s Department, which is composed of 7 continental unions representing 229 national Baptist women’s organizations.

The Day of Prayer is for all Baptist women, not just those who are part of your women’s organization. What would appeal to most women in your church—breakfast, Saturday retreat, evening meeting? Let that determine your date, place, and time.

Putting off until tomorrow giving to missions offerings such as the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® is a seductive temptation for families. First world living means there is always an excuse ready to be used: “It’s the beginning of baseball season and the children need new equipment.” “Easter clothes are expensive.” “Saving for a family vacation is a top priority.”
