LaVerne Griffin Youth Recreation Camp is in need of a camp nurse or certified EMT for the following weeks during the summer of 2009:

June 15–19, 2009—Boys Camp
June 22–26, 2009—Girls Camp
July 20–24, 2009—Youth Camp
August 2–6, 2009—JAM (Jesus, Arts, and Music) Camp sponsored by Hatchers Pass
August 10–14, 2009—Mountain View Camp sponsored by CBA

HONDURAS
Needed Supplies:

• Toothbrushes—Will be part of a hygiene packet. Ask your dentist for donations, or purchase on our Web site.
   
• Wash Cloths—Will be part of a hygiene packet. Most discount stores have these in bundles of 12 to 18.

 

• Bandages—Will be part of a First Aid Kit. You can also purchase First Aid Kits on our Web site.

 

• Baby Blankets—Will be part of a new mommy packet.

 

• Cloth Diapers—Will be part of a new mommy packet. You can also purchase on our Web site.

 

• Diaper Pins—Will be part of a new mommy packet.

 

• Diaper Cream—Will be part of a new mommy packet. You can also purchase on our Web site.

 

• Kids’ Shoes—Will be distributed to the village children. Check garage sales and close-out shelves at discount stores. You can also purchase on our Web site.

 

• Reading Glasses—Will be distributed as part of our medical clinic. Good source is a dollar store. You can also purchase on our Web site.

 

• School Supplies—Will be part of children's packet. You can also purchase on our Web site.

 

• Assorted Medical Supplies—Ace bandages, gauze, slings, diabetic supplies, and anything else that you think we could use.

 

• Used Laptop Computers—Will be given to Honduran College students who cannot afford to buy their own and to the Casa Cielo Orphanage to teach the children.
