WMU Starter Packs

Thank for you your interest in starting missions education in your church! WMU is here to support you in a variety of ways. As you look through the starter packs below, you will find information on the age level you are interested in, ideas on how to get an organization started, sample materials that you can use until your curriculum arrives, promotional help to assist with publicizing your new organization, and a flyer that entitles you to order your initial materials at a 20% discount!

WMU Library and Archives

The Hunt Library is the corporate library at national WMU headquarters and is named for former executive secretary Alma Hunt. Our collection of over 15,000 volumes specializes in the history of Woman's Missionary Union, Southern Baptist history, missions, and women's religious history.

This month marks the beginning of a yearlong celebration of 125 years of faithful mission support and involvement through WMU®, but the work of WMU began long before the official organization was born. Women in the churches had been gathering for prayer, sharing missionary letters from overseas, and encouraging financial support for missions needs for many years.
