Develop Great Plans

new yearbook

If you know anything about WMU, you are likely to be familiar with WMU Year Book. While most year books are a retrospect of the year, this Year Book looks into the future. It is the future of WMU in your own church.

Missions Plan Book 2011–2012 is a complete tool for starting adult missions education in the church. It fills the need for missions education materials without great cost to the church. It offers 12 months of materials all in one place. It can be used by both new leaders and leaders who have worked for many years.

The First Steps

When new churches open their doors for the first time, they are often given some financial support from a “mother” church. The mother church helps provide the necessary resources for a young church to serve the surrounding community. But new churches need more than financial support.

Focus on WMU in Your Church

When someone puts something into focus it brings clarity. Focus discards the outer edges by making them fuzzy. It doesn’t mean the edges are unimportant. It just means at the moment they are not important.

International Missions Study Products

The International Mission Study is an annual emphasis, usually in early December, to give churchwide exposure to a particular area of international missions work. Study materials are provided for each age level, preschool through adult. Overview of the International Mission Emphasis and Study.

5.11.13

This month marks the beginning of a yearlong celebration of 125 years of faithful mission support and involvement through WMU®, but the work of WMU began long before the official organization was born. Women in the churches had been gathering for prayer, sharing missionary letters from overseas, and encouraging financial support for missions needs for many years.
