Ministering to Moms in North Korea

north korean children

The partnership of WMU® with Global Resource Services (GRS) began in 2009, as WMU representatives traveled to North Korea to see how GRS works alongside the people of North Korea to develop agricultural resources, medical resources, and educational resources for the people. Adult and children’s groups have assisted in providing coats, supplies, and clean water to the men, women, and children of North Korea.

Mission Trips

Each year, WMU® offers prepackaged domestic and international mission trips. Exciting opportunities await you and your family (children age 6 and up) through FamilyFEST, and adults of all ages enjoy serving through MissionsFESTSM and International InitiativesSM.

5.11.13

This month marks the beginning of a yearlong celebration of 125 years of faithful mission support and involvement through WMU®, but the work of WMU began long before the official organization was born. Women in the churches had been gathering for prayer, sharing missionary letters from overseas, and encouraging financial support for missions needs for many years.
