“The boys are back at WMU!”

That phrase has been resounding through the hallways at national WMU® since March 2011. On March 1, 2011, the official announcement was made that RA® (Royal Ambassadors®) and Challengers® were transitioning back to WMU from the North American Mission Board (NAMB).

I have a good friend who sends a group email each day containing a quote that is witty, pithy, or from a famous person. Sometimes these quotes are funny and sometimes poignant. On Fridays he consistently uses a quote related to the sport of baseball. During the spring and summer these quotes make more sense as we are in the thick of the baseball season . . . but in the off season, the quotes sometimes seem out of place.

I just love a fresh start and a new beginning, don’t you? There’s something about starting over that often gives you just what you need to accomplish a task or get over a hump. Sometimes we get a fresh start because we choose to begin again or maybe because to continue down the current path just isn’t feasible. At any rate, new beginnings can be a really good thing. However, there are those around us who would love a new beginning, but can’t begin to imagine how that might be possible.
