Every bag had ten pieces of chocolate candy. I made at least 20 bags. I knew there would be at least that many children for the children’s sermon on Sunday morning.
Yesterday was Palm Sunday. I love this particular day in our church. The children came in waving palm branches as the service started and their sweet voices joined those in the congregation as we celebrated the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. It is a day in which the community of faith, called the church, gathers to celebrate the arrival of the Messiah.
Good Friday and Earth Day both fall on April 22 this year. Both are reminders of new beginnings and new life. The Project HELP: Human Exploitation issue of exploiting natural resources for personal gain also comes to mind.
Have you ever started something and then realized there was a lot more to it than you thought? That’s how I felt about midway in the process of producing Release and Restore: Addressing Human Exploitation Through the Church.
