Yes, it’s almost the end of January and yes, Children’s Ministry Day is February 18, and no, it’s not too late to get your children involved in Operation Education. The emphasis for this year’s Children’s Ministry Day is Operation Education, and the sky is the limit for various projects your children can do.
What a great opportunity for your child to reach out to the community and help meet needs and to share the love of God. And remember even if you choose not to participate on February 18, your children can choose another time for Operation Education. So what are you waiting on?
Children in your church can do so many things as a Children’s Ministry Day project. They can have a book collection and give gently-used or new books to the local school library, or perhaps the books can be given to several classrooms in the school. Children can collect school supplies to give to schools that might be in need of additional resources. Children can help with school clean-up projects.
No, it’s NEVER too late. Even if you have done nothing thus far, but you know your children would love to be involved, here are some easy tips to make Operation Education a fun, learning experience that helps children understand what it means to serve others.
