WMU board meeting: remembering former leaders, moving forward in faith

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) - Jan. 21, 2009 - National WMU's board meeting, Jan. 10-13 at Shocco Springs Baptist Conference Center in Talladega, Ala., was full of fellowship and optimism as the organization remembered former leaders, heard from Southern Baptist mission board personnel, and looked toward WMU's initiatives for 2009.

National WMU Challenges 'Change a Life. Change the World.' at Annual Meeting and Missions Celebration

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) – March 20, 2009 – Leading with their tagline—Change a Life. Change the World.—this year's national WMU Missions Celebration will seek to show participants how they can play a part in literally changing the world through missions. The event will be at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., June 21–22, prior to the Southern Baptist Convention.

National WMU and state WMUs partner for training event

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) – March 23, 2009 – In partnership with several state WMU offices, national WMU will launch a new regional training event in April for preschool and children’s leaders called Domino.
These events are designed to inspire leaders and equip them to continue their work in preschool and children’s ministries.
