(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) – May 24, 2010 – Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) of Gaston County in Gastonia, N.C. will be able to expand their ministry and continue to reach out to women in need through an award granted by the WMU Foundation.
Through her involvement with Christian Women’s Job Corps in Raleigh, N.C., Shandale Hodges said she learned perseverance—and that when one door closes, God always opens another one.
Charlie had a passion for the Bible, supporting foreign missions, and sharing the gospel at home and around the world. Although he passed away on Sept. 26, 2009, his desire to share Jesus with those who have not heard will live on
Women instinctively seek security. They want to feel loved and protected by someone who cares for them. For many women, their earthly fathers failed miserably in this role.

(Birmingham, Ala.) - Feb. 2, 2010 - One of WMU’s core values is to “accept responsibility for developing and equipping missional leaders.” Acteens® is one of the ways in which WMU is actively engaging teenage girls in grades 7–12 to become missional leaders by teaching them about missions and how to live a missional lifestyle.
We continue to monitor the needs and opportunities for ministering among our Haitian brothers and sisters following the earthquake on January 12. In late January, we made an initial $10,000 grant from Pure Water, Pure Love for drilling wells and cleaning out damaged wells.
