Summer Camp 2019 - Day 3

Camper’s Choice

At camp, there are times when campers get to choose a project to work on during the week. These times are known as “Camper’s Choice.” Some of the choices include ministry projects they can do to help others.

Helping Others Activities

In Mission Friends, preschoolers begin to have experiences in doing missions through Helping Others activities. By making, giving, or doing something for others, preschoolers move from a focus on themselves to a focus on others. We encourage you to involve your Mission Friends in Helping Others activities on a regular basis, whether that’s every month, every other month, or once a quarter. As an element of missions discipleship, Helping Others activities begin teaching preschoolers that God wants us to share His love with others.

Look What They Did!

Today, we share with you what these Mission Friends groups did for Helping Others activities.

Mission Friends at Wrightsdale Baptist Church in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania, collected gloves, scarves, hats, and socks to give to Headstart children in their area.

Robin’s class at The Baptist Church at McAdory, in McCalla, Alabama, shared God’s love by taking doughnuts to the firefighters at their local fire station.

Mission Friends in Pat’s class in Louisville, Kentucky, made cards to encourage international friends who are learning English.

Melita’s class in Nashville, Tennessee, put together sandwiches for “Lunch-to-Go” bags that were given to homeless people.
