God is our refuge and strength,
a helper who is always found in times of trouble.
Therefore, we will not be afraid,
though the earth trembles
and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,
though its water roars and foams
and the mountains quake with its turmoil. Selah.

(Psalm 46:10, CSB)

Our world feels as if it is groaning with pains and problems.

However, as perilous as our days may seem, God has proven He sees and knows all that is transpiring. He has a plan. He has set us in this time and place for a reason and for His purposes. Our God sustains us through the present and the future, as individuals and as a global community of believers.

While everything spins out of control around us, our task is to release fear and to allow our heavenly Father’s peace to rule our hearts each and every day.

The world may be in chaos, but chaos does not rule us.

God Almighty, El Shaddai, is in control. And nothing will ever change that.

Dear Father, our pastors and missionaries groan with empathy for the pains and problems of this world. So many of them are face down just praying for the Holy Spirit to intercede for them, because they don’t even know what to pray. For those who are overwhelmed today as they bear others’ burdens, please calm their minds and hearts and spirits. For those who are experiencing burdens within their own families, give them wisdom and direction. For those who are experiencing depression and anxiety themselves, remind them that Your perfect love casts out fear.

You are El Shaddai, God Almighty, and we worship You! Amen.
