Don and Mary Alan recently returned to the Middle East after having completed their stateside assignment. Be in prayer for them as they pick back up with meaningful relationships with nationals and encourage persecuted brothers and sisters.

Praise God for Ahmad* and Amina*, 2 believers who continue to remain steadfast in the faith and pursue Christ despite hardships. Amina is sharing the gospel with those in her city by talking to people she meets about Jesus. She is very bold, and it is an encouragement to others. Her husband is not a believer, so intercede for his salvation. Ask God to provide daily for the needs of Ahmad’s family as they have lived in poverty for years.

Continue to pray the wars in Yemen and Syria would end and warring factions would be able to negotiate peace. The humanitarian crisis in Yemen is still very grave, and the fighting in Syria has yet to cease. It is a stark reminder of the need for Jesus’ lasting peace in the Middle East and throughout the world. The Alans are very grateful to be a part of proclaiming peace to those around them in the Middle East.

Don and Mary Alan are featured in the April 2020 Missions Mosaic Christian Worker Spotlight article.

Ena Redding* lives in the Middle East, where she seeks to pursue God daily. She writes about that pursuit at
